Sept 2017- Tami

Its not easy to put into words, this last year... the anticipation and hope we had for an extremely challenging population... I see my therapist's look as I explain some of the things I've seen, heard, and felt... she knowingly nods, but I can tell she has no frame of reference, which most people don't.  The bond I feel to people who went into this arena with me is overwhelming at times, and the ability Tam had to hold space for us, and lead us there was nothing less than heroic.  To say that New Hope was hard is an understatement, and the courage and wherewithal it to for her to take this on was impressive.  She put her heart, soul and literally blood, sweat and tears into this program and the people who dedicated themselves to run it.  Tami is one of the strongest most devoted people I have ever had the pleasure to know.  She supported me and held me up during the hardest time in my career... she held space for my me so I could hold space for my team on the front lines.  She was front and center on the unit and jumping into situations that most people in her position never have to do.  She wasn't the person shouting direction from the cheap seats, she was in the arena dusty and bruised like the rest of us.  She made an impossible situation more possible... she believed in the work we were trying to do and she believed in us, which made us believe in ourselves... We could have never accomplished any of our successes without her leading us.  Tami is the epitome of a leader, the kind of person that breeds loyalty from those of us who follow her.  And she gives us hope still for the children we can reach and the ripples we can continue to help make happen for their lives.
