National Poetry Month 2019 Day One

April is National Poetry month.... I got an idea from a writer, Jason Reynolds to do 30 poems in 30 days in celebration, but I didn't get the idea till half the month was over.... so I decided to wait and start on the Strawberry April Full Moon to start... the energy of the moon to hopefully help me reignite my creativity in writing... I haven't been able to really write much this year that wasn't sludge from my faucet... so I'm using whatever positive energy to hopefully clear my writers block and move me forward at this time in my life...

Day One April 19---- Strawberry Moon in Libra
30 in 30
Day One
I’m in love with the moon…
The way she goes from new to whole and back to new again, She reminds me that my cycles are just
that, the dance that I perform around the sun…
That even though the light is only shining on a part of me, and only a sliver of me shows, if you squint
just right you can see I am still whole…
My shadow is as much an essential part of me as my light...
My moons energy opens me up to the surrender of what no longer serves me, and reignites my desire
to be the creator I came here to be…
When my soul feels anxious, and constricted she reminds me to breathe in the Moon beams of her love,
to drink in the cool water infused with her magical  power, to burn the intentions of my heart so that
the flame can rise and send the messages to be blessed by her moon touch...
To furiously dance painted, wild and naked...
To stir the muck of stagnation out of my bones with moonbeams kissing my skin, she awakens my soul
purpose and my fingers ache to fill paper with scribbles of colorful ink, my heart finds its path of rhythm
my body tingles, and the stirrings of creation are awakened in me once again.
